Vintage portrait photo circa 1920s of American social reformer, activist and pacifist Jane Addams (1860 - 1935) - co-winner of the Nobel Peace Prize in 1931. Addams was the co-founder of Hull House in Chicago (a settlement house offering social and educational programs for poor immigrants) and a leading advocate for various social reforms such as women's suffrage and labour laws.
