‘March for Life UK’ anti-abortion protest march and rally. Predominately a Catholic event and organised by pro-life Christian groups including The Good Counsel Network and March For Life UK, hundreds of pro-lifers march from Westminster Church House to rally in Parliament Square with speeches and prayers. Based on extreme-right protests in the USA opposed to abortion, the movements aim to raise awareness of the hurt and damage it causes and bring to an end what they call the greatest violation to human rights in history. Women’s pro-choice opponents say the anti-abortionists deny women basic rights, back harassment of women and oppose contraception, sex education and IVF fertility treatment. London, UK.
