RM2J63RGY–1960s, historical, cars of the era travelling down Piccadilly, London, England, UK. A 'modern' building constructed in the post-war years can be seen in the picture on the corner of Clarges Street. Rectangular in shape and constructed from pre-cast concrete with window panels built off-site, these 'modern' buildings were quicker and cheaper to build than those traditionally brick-built. Many however were dull, unattractive and not inkeeping with the other buildings and did not last the test of time. The Jaguar showroom at 88 Piccadilly can be seen on the left.
