RMRFF1DX–The dismantling of the original Lambeth Bridge, over the River Thames, in London, England.This was modern bridge was a suspension bridge, 828 feet (252.4 m) long, designed by Peter W. Barlow. Sanctioned by an Act of Parliament in 1860, it opened as a toll bridge on 10 November 1862. Doubts about its safety, coupled with its awkwardly steep approaches deterring horse-drawn traffic, meant it soon became used almost solely as a pedestrian crossing. It ceased to be a toll bridge in 1879, it was by then severely corroded, and was closed in 1910.

Albert Ball, (14 August 1896 – 7 May 1917) was an English fighter pilot during the First World War. At the time of his death he was the United Kingdom's leading flying ace, with 44 victories, and remained its fourth-highest scorer behind Edward Mannock, James McCudden, and George McElroy. He was killed in action on 7th May 1917, when his aeroplane crashed in a field in France. He was awarded a posthumous Victorian Cross in June 1917.
