A German single-seat, single-engine fighter aircraft designed in the late 1930s and started flying operationally over France in August 1941 and quickly proved superior in all but turn radius to the Spitfire Mk. V, the main front-line fighter of the Royal Air Force (RAF), particularly at low and medium altitudes.The 190 maintained superiority over Allied fighters until the introduction of the improved Spitfire Mk. RMRKXKF9–A captured Luftwaffe Focke Wulf FW190.Focke Wulf Fw 190A-3, Werk Nr. 313, at RAF Pembrey, Carmarthenshire, after being mistakenly landed there by its German pilot, Oberleutnant Armin Faber, the Gruppenadjutant of III/JG2, on 23 June 1942. This was the first Fw 190 to fall intact into Allied hands, and was immediately sent to the Royal Aircraft Establishment, Farnborough, where it was also repainted in British markings and given the RAF serial number MP499. In July, MP499 was flown to the Air Fighting Development Unit at Duxford, Cambridgeshire. Struck off charge in 1943.

RMDYER5E–The Focke-Wulf Fw 190 Würger (English: Shrike) was a German single-seat, single-engine fighter aircraft designed by Kurt Tank in the late 1930s and widely used during World War II. Powered by a radial engine in most versions, the Fw 190 had ample power and was able to lift larger loads than its well-known counterpart, the Messerschmitt Bf 109. The Fw 190 was used by the Luftwaffe in a wide variety of roles, including day fighter, fighter-bomber, ground-attack aircraft and, to a lesser degree, night fighter.
