08.10.2023, Berlin, Germany, Europe - More than 2, 000 people responded to a call by the German-Israeli Society of Berlin and Brandenburg to take part in a pro-Israeli solidarity rally on Paris Square (Pariser Platz) in front of the Brandenburg Gate in Berlin's Mitte district, one day after members of the radical Islamic terrorist organisation Hamas fired countless rockets at Israel and entered Israeli territory. According to previous reports, more than 700 Israelis were killed and an unknown number were taken to Gaza. In addition to Israel's Ambassador to Germany Ron Posor and the United States Ambassador to Germany Amy Gutmann, various German federal and state politicians also spoke at the demonstration.
