10/07/2021: Hundreds gathered in Monument Square in central Concord, Massachusetts to support the passage of United States Congressional bill H.R.1 and S-1 or the “For the People Act of 2021”. The For the People Act was a bill in the United States Congress to expand voting rights, change campaign finance laws and limit partisan gerrymandering. The Concord demonstration called “Save Democracy” was organized by Indivisible a progressive American movement started as a reaction to the election of Donald Trump as President of the United States. Concord Massachusetts, an affluent community 19.5 miles (31.5 km) northwest of Boston, is known as the place where the first military battle between British and Revolutionary soldiers took place in 1775.
