15.01.2024, Berlin, Germany, Europe - Several thousand farmers, craftsmen, forwarders and workers of the transport industry participate with their tractors and trucks in a protest of the Free Farmers in the capital city on 17 June Street between Ernst-Reuter-Platz square, Victory Column and the Brandenburg Gate against the politics and austerity plans of the traffic light government. Some have mounted signs with protest slogans on to their tractors. The demonstration is primarily directed against the savings and drastic budget cuts planned by the federal government in the federal budget in the form of the cancellation of subsidized agricultural diesel fuel and the exemption from vehicle tax for farmers.
