Today the Transnistria conflict dominated over 1000 dead. The region then split off after a war lasting several months from Moldova. Transnistria is a repulsive Moldovan republic under Russian influence east of the river Dnister. Even the Russia-dependent structures are known as the Transdnestrovian Moldavian Republic (Pridnestrovkaja Moldavskaja Respublika / PMR).
