During the fighting in Mogadishu in the early 1990s, the media were based at the Sahafi Hotel as it was relatively convenient to the airport and was reasonably secure. English cameraman Jonathan Cavender of WTN lies next to his sound engineer, South African Philip "Bushman" Davies, who operates the camera.
