The advert mentions its many markets – car, truck, tractor and motor cycle tyres. Firestone Tire and Rubber Company is an American tyre (tire) company founded by Harvey Firestone in 1900. It became the original supplier to Ford Motor Company automobiles. In 1988 the company was sold to the Japanese Bridgestone Corporation – vintage 1950s graphics for editorial use.

Firestone Tire and Rubber Company is an American tyre (tire) company founded by Harvey Firestone in 1900 initially to supply solid rubber tyres for fire-fighting apparatus and pneumatic tires for other forms of wheeled transportation. Firestone soon saw the huge potential for marketing tyres for automobiles, and the company was a pioneer in the mass production. It became the original supplier to Ford Motor Company automobiles. In 1988 the company was sold to the Japanese Bridgestone Corporation – vintage 1950s graphics for editorial use.
