A 19th century sketch of the yacht "Dauntless" created circa 1869 by an anonymous artist for her owner and commander James G Bennett Jnr, vice commodore of the New York Yacht Club. It left New York 28th June 1869 and arrived at Queenstown, in County Cork, Ireland 12.75 days later on July 11th. Pictured off Queenstown, the town was later renamed in 1920 when it became known as Cobh.
