Very compact, dwarf habit, making handsome specimens 14 in. in height and breadth. The plant is completely covered with its brilliant, clear pink flowers to such an extent that the foliage is usually hidden. It has been successfully grown by many for Christmas sales, and brought very high prices. It is un- doubtedly one of the most useful Christmas plants now in existence, owing to its extreme floriferousness. Its chief requirements are a soil composed of well rotted sods and leaf mold, and a warm, moderately dry atmosphere, with an abundance of ventilation.
