One day before the jury selection process for Derek Chauvin’s trial began, dozens of activist and faith organizations were joined by hundreds of Black Lives Matter protesters in downtown Minneapolis to demand justice for George Floyd. After holding a rally outside the heavily fortified Hennepin County Government Center—the location of the trial—protesters participated in a silent march through downtown.
