Apr. 04, 1978 - British Rail Chief Goes Steam. British Rail Chairman Peter Parker flew by helicopter to Dover today. He was taken to see and travel on the Romney, Hythe, and Dymchurch Light Railway, where he inaugurated what is believed to be the World's first buffet car on any such narrow gauge railway.
