Several thousand tree trunks lie covered by a thick layer of ice at a camp site of the Lower Saxony State Forests in the Harz Mountains (aerial photograph with drone). The up to 140 year old spruce trunks had fallen victim to the Frederike storm in spring and now have to wait for sale due to the saturated timber market.
