An etched Austrian halberd, circa 1580/90, Wide, leaf-shaped spike with distinctive central ridge on both side. Slender, jagged blade with robust rear fluke. Octagonal socket with four side straps (repair at the lower edge). Profuse etchings on both sides. On one side the portrayal of a Landsknecht ensign with a Reich eagle flag, on the other side the coat of arms of Burgundy-Habsburg consisting of an angular cross and fire strikers.
