Taking advantage of the monsoon season, fishing has become popular in the rivers of Kurigram. The locals are busy hunting for native species of fish in various water bodies including canals, beels and river channels. The workers, who had lost their jobs due to the epidemic, were spending a long time idle. As the monsoon season started at that time, the locals are fishing in water bodies and river canals.Some are busy fishing to get nets, some are busy pulling nets, some are fishing to get current nets. A festive environment has been created for fishing in the fresh water of the monsoon in the canals, beels and rivers of different villages. Due to heavy rains in the last few days, water is increasing in various rivers and canals including Jamuna, Bangali and Ichhamati rivers. At the same time, different species of fish can be seen in all those rivers and canals. Therefore, the young people of the area, young men and women and professional fishermen are busy fishing in a festive atmosphere. Many are making a living by hunting fish all day and selling it in the market. Again, many people have gone fishing in the river as a hobby. Many people are busy making nets in the villages of the river area due to the fishing noise in the fresh water of the monsoon. However, the oldest fishing equipment is the rod. Therefore, the value of the rod has increased in the rainy season.
