The image was captured from the pier with the western façade of Blackness Castle in the background. The castle is open to the public and managed by Historic Scotland. This photograph has been produced by merging three differently exposed images of the same scene. All of which were captured at approximately the same time - on a tripod mounted camera – and digitally processed to produce the resulting artistic rendition of the scene.
