Broad Street, Birmingham, March 14th 2024 - Thousands of Revellers took to Broad Street in Birmingham on Wednesday night as a legendary nightclub opened its doors. Demolition crews are set to roll in the wrecking ball to the old SNOBS venue in the Arcadian and Gay Quarter to make way for a high-rise apartment building. SNOBS became World Famous after featuring in the opening ceremony of the 2022 Birmingham Commonwealth Games. The club has had several moves over the years, originally starting out at the bottom of Broad Street, it then moved to the Arcadian close to the Gay Quarter and now it has moved towards the top of Broad Street. The nightlife strip is set to welcome the popular Indie venue with open arms into the former Velvet Music Rooms building as the top of the strip has recently lost the PRYZM super-club with only Heidi's Bier Bar holding the entertainment until SNOBS moved in.
