Cannabis Farmers Market, 16 Oct. 2021, Worcester, Massachusetts, USA. Resinate, a Massachusetts Cannabis Dispensary with two retail locations in MA, held what they believe to be the first in the United States “Cannabis Community Farmers Market” at their Worcester retail location. Hundreds attended the Saturday event in Worcester, pop 185, 000 (50 miles, 80km, west of Boston, MA). All entering the event had to show proof of age (over 21 years) and again when entering the Resinate building where marijuana products are sold. In 2016 MA voters approved a ballot initiative that ended cannabis prohibition for adults 21 years and older, making limited quantities of cannabis or marijuana legal to grow and possess. As of mid-2021, 18 U.S. states and Washington D.C. have legalized marijuana and 37 states have legalized it for medical use. In 2021 the recreational use of cannabis has been legalized in five countries and 44 countries worldwide have legalized it for medical use.
