Caragas, Venezuela. 28th May, 2017. When he was born, doctors said that Mervins Fernando Guitian Diaz would not live for long. At nine months of age he was diagnosed with symptomatic focal epilepsy following an infection with bacterial meningitis, as well as with left temporal lobe epilepsy. He also underwent surgery of his left eye four times, and he had poor vision.
