The photograph shows a view down Market Place looking towards the Church of St. John the Baptist in Cirencester. A horse-drawn carriage stands in the road in front of a row of shops on the right side of the image. Pedestrians are visible across the street and sidewalks. (Recto, mount) lower center, below image, printed in black ink: "CIRENCESTER"
