Cookham, UK. 12th January, 2024. The main road across Cookham Moor remains closed due to flooding. The nearby old Causeway (pictured) is being used by residents but on a strictly limited basis due to the narrow road and old bridge. The village of Cookham in Berkshire is slowly beginning to dry out after the River Thames burst its banks last weekend. The river levels are finally dropping. Now the expensive clean up will begin by residents and the Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead. Credit: Maureen McLean/Alamy
