Direct Rail Services class 68 UK Light diesel-electric loco number 68003, named Astute waits in platform 1 at Carnforth railway station with service 6C51, the 12.47 from Sellafield B.N.F. to Heysham Harbour Power Station on Wednesday 3rd August 2022. At the rear is 68004, Rapid with two nuclear flask and wagons between the locos. They are waiting to leave the Furness line and to join the WCML as far as Hest Bank where they will take the single track line to Bare Lane and on to Heysham, reversing at Morecambe.
