The White Horse of Conquest a white horse, and he who sat on it had a bow; and a crown. This oil on linen is set during The Soviet war in Afghanistan (1989–92). Sandy Gall's TV crew can be seen in the rocky landscape. Gall gave Durand visual and descriptive information for the huge composition.
