Retired Sgt. 1st Class Omar Delgado, a CASCOM Future Systems Integration Division employee, climbed California’s Mount Whitney Sept. 11 with a group of veterans and guides operating under the No Barrier Warrior adventure group. Delgado was nominated and selected for the climb, which he said would help him grow closer to his brothers and sisters in arms. However, the disabled veteran learned some unexpected lessons as well.
