This is an image of a male Carder Bumblebee (Bombus pascuorum) feeding on a ragwort floret in a local nature reserve. The carder bees nest on top of the ground often using moss to construct their nests. However, the males take little or no part in this and are kicked out, having only one purpose, too mate.
