Twenty six year old Gil Sousa of Bad Axe, near Detroit , Michigan had given up his home a 2,000 a year job to come to Europe to marry a girl he had never seen. The girl is lovely Rosemary Weirich a 20 year old typist of Bremen, Germany. He fell in love with a photohraph of Rosemary , given him by a friend. They corresponded for six months and after 150 letters had passed between them he decided to come to Europe for his Rosemary

The couple met in Bremen but Rosemary's father refused permission for them to marry ... They decided to go to Gretna Green where they are now waiting they hope to get married within a very short time.. Gil (Gilbert) says it has taken a lot of time and cost a lot of money but..
