1936 set of "Sporting Personalities" cigarette cards by Gallaher, featuring footballer Dixie Dean on top. William Ralph "Dixie" Dean (1907-1980) is the most prolific goal scorer in English football history, he scored 60 goals in the 1927-28 season alone and averaged 0.87 goals per game overall which has never been bettered. He scored 383 goals for Everton, including 37 hat-tricks.He was never booked or sent off during his entire career.
