The pond is freed from sludge by the company Aquamarine Technologies AG. A dredging pump sucks the water with the sediments over hoses in large water-permeable geotextile tubes, called Geotubes. Over several days the water-sludge mixture is pumped in the Geotubes. Through the porous shell of the Geotubes the water runs free of sediments and sludge over a sheeting back into the pond. After a drying time, the now solid mass in the tubes can be removed and disposed. This method of sludge removal has many advantages: There is no drawdown of water necessary, therefore also deployable in canals, gentle intervention in nature, little or small bank damages, etc. Europa, Deutschland, Nordrhein-Westfalen, Iserlohn, Gewaessersanierung im Volksgarten im Stadtteil Letmathe. Der Teich wird durch die Firma Aquamarine Technologies AG von Schlamm befreit. Dazu saugt eine Baggerpumpe das Wasser mit den Sedimenten ueber Schlaeuche in grosse wasserdurchlaessige Geotextil-Schlaeuche, genannt Geotubes. Das mit einem Ausflockungspulver angereicherte Wasser-Schlamm-Gemisch wird ueber mehrere Tage in die Geotubes gepumpt. Durch die poroese Huelle der Geotubes laeuft das von Sedimenten und Schlamm befreite Wasser ueber eine Folie zurueck in den Teich. Nach einer Trocknungsphase wird die nun feste Masse in den Saecken abtransportiert und entsorgt. Dieses Verfahren der Schlammentfernung hat viele Vorteile: u.a. ist keine Wasserabsenkung im Gewaesser noetig, somit auch in Kanaelen einsetzbar, sanfter Eingriff in die Natur, kaum oder geringe Uferschaeden
