Anti-austerity march through Manchester city centre during the Conservative Party Conference held at the Manchester International Conference Centre. An estimated 200, 000 people took part in the protest against the Conservative Party. The march, organised by trade unions, was attended by lawyers, doctors, surgeons, nurses and victims of the governments anti-austerity measures such as bedroom tax, benefit sanctions etc.. Starting in Oxford Road, the protest weaved its way through the city streets to finish on Deansgate in front of the Beetham Tower/Hilton Hotel.
