Anti-A and Anti-B reagents used in a blood band for the determination of blood type in the laboratory. The classification of blood is based on the presence or absence of inherited antigenic substances on the surface of red blood cell. In the laboratory, the agglutination (or clumping) of red blood cells is tested with anti-A and anti-B antibodies to determine a person's blood type.
