The Canadian beaver is back in Sonora Mexico after restocking. Currently this mammalian species inhabits the basin of the river San Pedro in the region and specifically in the streams of the private reserve of Rancho Los Fresnos. Castor Canadiense, habita otra vez en Sonora MŽxico luego de su extinci—n hace 80 a–os. Conservaci—n del Castor, luego de su natural repoblaci—n o regreso a Sonora desde 2005. Este gigante roedor fu extinto de la zona norte de MŽxico hace 80 a–os. Actualmente esta especie de mam’fero habita en la cuenca de el rio San Pedro de la regi—n y en especifico en los arroyos de la reserva privada Rancho los Fresnos a cargo de la Asociaci—n Civil Naturalia Se estima que la creaci—n de diques de este animal ha beneficiando a los ranchos cercanos por la retenci—n de agua hacia el sub suelo
