Karl Philipp Fürst von Wrede(1767 - 1838)- a gift of honour,Table centrepiece,massive,oblong rectangular,tiered malachite base with slate core and bevelled corners,20 x 15 cm,height of the base ca. 9 cm. The base entwined by ivy foliage,surmounted by an owl perched on a book decorated with symbols of justice,scales,sword,and fasces(referring to Wrede's former law studies)as well as a coat of arms,probably the primary of a 'Reichsfreiherr'(Reich Baron).
