People lives in the containers after 23 years. Asia, Armenia, Gyumri, 06.03.2011: Gyumri (former Leninakan) suffered from the earthquake december 7, 1988. The epicenter of the earthquake was in town of Spitak, killing 25000 people. In Gyumri more than 20.000 flats and private houses were ruined and more than 6000 were damaged. 23 years after hitting Gyumri, the 1988 earthquake in Armenia still continues to leave victims. Winter is the worst time for more than 3000 families that continue to live in small temporary houses named Domiks provided for the homeless by the soviet government or built by the homeless themselves.
