Hordes of shoppers descend on the trendy Meatpacking District in New York on Thursday, September 6, 2012 during the fourth annual Fashion's Night Out event. On the first evening of New York Fashion Week stores around the city offer sales and bargains as well as parties and events to entice customers to shop. The event has been so successful in boosting sales that over 100 cities in the US are having their own events, and Fashion's Night Out events occur in fashion-forward cities around the world.
