One of the largest demonstrations in recent years in which trade unions took part, indignant people, university students, taxi drivers and fans of football club of Hercules was the usual results with clashes between demonstrators and police. Τhe same time the Prime Minister Georgios Papandreou performed the standard annual speech to the TIF. Prime Minister presented the program to exit the country from the crisis, promised easing of stringent economic measures and at least one employed person in each family with a view to reducing unemployment afflicting the country. The conflicts continued in front of the Aristotle University and completed relatively quickly. The police made a total of 94 detentions from which 9 were converted to arrests while the rest were released.
