Built by François Hennebique, for himself, the building of 1 rue Danton is, quite surprisingly, completely made of concrete. At first glance, it seems to be stone. Reinforced concrete was invented by the firm Hennebique which filed the patent in 1892 and set up its seat in This building was erected in 1898-1900 on the plans of the architect Edouard Arnaud. Note between the windows of the first floor, the trademark Hennebique.
