Dinky Toys were manufactured to be as realistic as possible to the vehicles they represented. They were made between 1935 and 1979 and the 1960's saw advancements to the realism with opening doors and boots/bonnets and sometimes even with lights. The target audience was the young boy. Nowadays good examples can make large sums of money in the worldwide Dinky collectors market.
