Supporters of the British Nation Party (BNP) and anti-fascist groups clashed in Westminster, London on Saturday 1st June 2013. The protests were triggered by the killing of Royal Fusilier drummer Lee Rigby in Woolwich the previous week by two Islamist extremists. About 150 members of the British National party gathered in Westminster’s Old Palace Yard. Both the anti-fascist protesters and BNP were greatly outnumbered by Metropolitan police and 31 arrests were recorded.
