The car shown in this image is a 1956 Renault R1101. It was a soft top with a 12 HP (12 CV) engine with 4 cylinders. This beautifully preserved example was one of a number supplied for the 1956 Tour de France as official cars. This particular model was used by reporters from the French daily newspaper "Le Figaro" as they followed the race. It is shown here exhibited at a local event in the grounds of Mas Chaptal near the village of Genolhac in the Cevennes area of France.
