A winding gravel path leads to the Japanese bridge cloaked with flowering wisteria within the Wild Garden of Cottesbrooke Hall in Northamptonshire. Cottesbrooke is a Queen Anne period house dating from 1702, and is reputed to be the inspiration for Jane Austen's "Mansfield Park".
