The Amphitheatre, with Sentinel Peak at its end, is a prominent portion of the northern Drakensberg mountains, the highest range of mountains in South Africa.The Amphitheatre wall which is 1, 000 metres high and stretches over 5 km, is site to the World's second highest waterfall, the Tugela Falls. The park is part of the greater World Heritage site, Drakensberg Ukhahlamba National Park.
