Frédéric Cournet (Frédéric Etienne Cournet) (1837-1885). French journalist who worked for the newspaper "Le Réveil". He took part in the defence of Paris during the Franco-Prussian War (1870-1871) commanding a battalion of the National Guard. Member of the Paris Commune in March 1871.
