Aberystwyth Wales UK, Thursday 16 May 2019 UK Weather: A perfect circular sun halo , formed as the rays of the sun shine through ice crystals in the upper atmosphere, seen in the sky above the ruins of Aberystwyth castle. The halos, always at 22º from the sun, often indicate that rain will fall within the next 24 hours, since the cirrostratus clouds that cause them can signify an approaching frontal system. The weather is set to change overnight from the fine warm conditions to cooler and wetter days, more typical of mid May. photo credit Keith Morris / Alamy Live News
