War H.Q. to be Preserved -- "Heart of the Battle" - Mr. Churchill's office in his bedroom at the secret war Headquarters. It is from here that the momentous broadcasts were made. The secret underground War Headquarters of the War Cabinet and the Chiefs of Staff, in Marshall, Street, Westminster, are to be preserved for their historic interest. The war map room, the Cabinet room, and the room from which Mr. Churchill made many of his inspired broadcasts are included in the plan of preservation. March 17, 1948.
