The human voice of the speaking clock being recorded. Or a talking clock, is a live or recorded human voice service, usually accessed by telephone, that gives the correct time. The first telephone speaking clock service was introduced in France, in association with the Paris Observatory, on 14 February 1933. Skaidrite Geranius who is the voice of the Latvian speaking clock is pictured when recording what later will be read to those calling the talking clock. The recording was held at the swedish telephone company LM Ericsson in Stockholm on July 15 1937.
