Lake Titicaca, Peru - 17 May 2018 Taquile is an island on the Peruvian side of Lake Titicaca. located some 45 km from the city of Puno. It is inhabited by around 2000 native Taquilenos, who have their own distinctive culture based around their fine handwoven textiles and clothing. This image is based on a single tree photographed against the lake and clear sky. Then I folded it to create this perplexing image, with the tree seemingly emerging from the endless blue waters.
