The Ocean Springs L&N Depot was built in 1907. The L&N railroad provided service from Mobile, Alabama to New Orleans, Louisiana. Amtrak is currently petitioning to revive a railroad route from Mobile to New Orleans, carrying passengers through the Mississippi coastal towns of Pascagoula, Ocean Springs, Biloxi, and Bay St. Louis.
